How we check information
Every figure on MyVisaRoutes comes from a named source and shows the date someone last checked it. Here is how that works.
Information, not immigration advice. We publish the same general facts for everyone. We don't assess anyone's case.
Where figures come from
- Official government pages first: gov.uk, canada.ca and IRCC, Make it in Germany, the German Federal Foreign Office and its embassies and consulates, and government registers in applicants' home countries.
- Secondary sources only when no official figure exists (for example, processing times reported for one country). These are labelled check on the page, with the source named.
- We never use agents' websites, forums or social media as a source for a figure.
Today the site tracks 125 route figures across 16 routes, plus TB clinic lists and German mission procedures for 9 passport countries. 22 route figures are currently marked check.
What each figure carries
- The value and its unit, exactly as the source gives it.
- A link to the source page, and whether it is official or secondary.
- The date it was last checked. Pages show the oldest date of the figures on them.
- Announced future changes, with the date they take effect, so a page can show both the current and the coming amount.
How often we check
- Every figure shows the date it was last checked against its source, and every page shows the oldest of those dates. That date is the honest answer to "how current is this?"
- Figures not re-checked within 3 months are marked check automatically on the route pages, until someone confirms them again against the official page.
- We re-check the sources before we change a page or a guide, and when a reader reports a possible change. A figure is only updated after Israr Ul Haq Awan has read the official page.
- Exchange rates for the local-currency estimates are updated by hand, and their date is shown wherever a local amount appears. Local amounts are always approximate, because banks use different rates.
- Guides and the website use the same researched figures; when a figure changes, both are updated together.
We plan to add an automatic check that compares the official pages with the versions we last saw, so changes are spotted sooner. We'll describe it here once it is running.
Who checks
Israr Ul Haq Awan (Founder and editor) reviews every change before it goes live. MyVisaRoutes is published by Isnex Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15999648). More on the About page.
Corrections
If you find a figure that is wrong or out of date, email [email protected] with the page and, if you can, the official page that shows the right figure. We aim to review every report within 5 working days. When we correct a figure, we update it everywhere it appears (website and guides) and change its "last checked" date.
Significant corrections are listed here.
No corrections so far. The oldest figure on the site was last checked on 27 Oct 2026.
What we don't do
We don't predict decisions, rank routes for individuals or tell anyone which visa to choose. For advice on your own situation, use a regulated adviser.
